explain yourself!
tess brokaw put the song by papas fritas on her 14th birthday party mix in 7th grade. everybody this year was talking about this song young folks by peter bjorn and john. i associate tess with the people who talk about young folks but that is a side note. anyway when i heard the song young folks i thought it sounded eerily like the papas fritas song. i dont have the musical (pandora.com) vocabulary to articulate the similarities but i feel that it is obvious. isn't it? and then both the videos were lo-fi naif type cartoons and i thought that was interesting. fishy, to be more specific.
cant you make a playlist too?
i love whistling, and it's certainly the best part of the whole WRITER'S BLOCK album.
Speaking of whistling, I watched M tonight (Fritz Lang, 1931 : http://imdb.com/title/tt0022100/ ) and the "Kindmörder" whistles Peer Gynt infectiously. It's worth seeing.
damn, i didn't realize how cool a 14 year old i was.
