glitter and doom

Glitter and Doom exhibit at Met closes this weekend. Get on it.
Today I saw this which I like very much:

My favorite piece of art criticism was this:
Karl Hubbuch, Self Portrait
"Hubbuch drew this self-portrait when he returned to working as an artist after an illness. The dark rings under his eyes appear in all his self-portraits from this time on, lending his boyish, handsome face a delicious depravity."

I also saw this in person for the first time:

Also for the first time I noticed the genitalia belonging to the man on the right. It was an unsettling moment considering how many times I had seen the image before.
